	Thought you might enjoy the picture I put on my Christmas cards this year. Isn't he a pretty baby......well he will be 4 in May, but he still thinks he is a puppy. Nickie is still a joy for us and we love having him in the family. He is a ball crazzed cuddle pup. He lives to play ball and frizzbee. He also will ooozzze into our laps thinking we won't notice...snicker

He is also a hero pup While the houses on both sides of us have been broken into we have never had a problem. Anyone who dares walk by is subject to a woofin. Last summer though he caught the guys breaking into the house next door. His woof was more insistent than usual and my husband checked on it. He saw a group of young men coming out the window and called police. The woman that lived there was just coming home and heard Nick and could tell it was important...so she looked down alley that is between our houses before going in. She saw theifs leaving. If Nick hadnt warned her she would have walked in on them with her two small children. The police caught them not far from our homes with stuff from neighbors house. What a good dog

He's still doing it!

Sassy will sometimes let him share the couch with her. Nickie is making friends with the cat. It is so funny. Sassy and the cat can barely stand each other. Whenever she sees Nickie being friendly with the cat she charges them and scares the cat off. She looks at Nickie like, "How can you be friendly with that CAT!" Jonathan is loving Nickie a lot. I think he's been good for him. We have our last Puppy School class this Monday. I have taught Nickie to go into a sit/stay while I back up 10 feet then I toss him a soft ball. He will jump up and catch it. This is going to be our show off trick for the class graduation. He is a very smart boy. He does like being a lap dog. He puts his butt in my lap then his chest up on the back of the big chair. He is going to be a big lapful! But as long as his full weight isn't on me who cares. I love having a lap dog. Who cares that some people don't think big dogs can't be lap dogs. We know better right! Take Care!
