dogs' nails--mom & dad did that). he has met many of our neighbors and their dogs. everyone is in love with him. how perfect he is! I'll send pictures as soon as we finish this role of film. I also have to send the pictures from work because my internet connection here at home is a lot slower when attaching files. it's going to be so hard to go back to work tomorrow. but I must. joe will be working evenings for a few weeks, so that someone is here with him almost all the time.

Bert is doing OK with the ferrets. he seems to understand that they are alive, not toys, but he just wants to play sooooo badly. we've had some success with sitting down on the floor, holding a ferret, and bert being allowed to sniff and look. once they are no longer a novelty we should be able to let them visit a little more and then play.

he's also very interested in the puppy in the dishwasher! (our dishwasher has a shiny black surface and he can see his reflection).
